Zayat Stables' talented duo of speedsters Fast Bullet and Justin Phillip will go postward in the $1.5 million Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1). The pair are part of a full field of 14 that were announced as pre-entries on Wednesday for the six-furlong contest Nov. 2 at Santa Anita Park.

Fast Bullet, a 5-year-old son of Speightstown trained by Wayne Lukas, will be making his third start of the year. His stellar 2 1/2-length victory in the True North S. (G2) earned 110 Beyer Speed Figure, one of the highest numbers of 2013.

Lukas has been training Fast Bullet regularly at Churchill Downs over the past month, including a sparkling five furlongs in 1:01.20 on Oct. 18, the third best of 27 at the distance.

Justin Phillip, winner of the Alfred G. Vanderbilt H. (G1) this summer at Saratoga, comes into the Breeders' Cup off a narrow loss in the roughly run Vosburgh I. (G1) Sept. 28 at Belmont Park.  The 5-year-old has been a model of consistency this year, hitting the board in seven of nine starts and earning $671,275.

Trained by Steve Asmussen, Justin Phillip has been making his preparations for the Sprint at the trainer's Santa Anita base.

Final Breeders' Cup entries and post positions will be drawn on Monday, Oct. 28. The Sprint is scheduled to run at 7:01 p.m. EDT as race 10.
