Zayat Stables' 2-year-old filly Danyelli turned in a stellar performance in winning a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight win Friday at Aqueduct, rolling home a 4 1/4-length winner in her third lifetime start.

Danyelli really never gave her foes a chance after break like a shot out of the gate. She opened up by three lengths in the first quarter-mile, then relaxed around the turn before turning on the jets again in the stretch to score convincingly in 1:19.12, good for an excellent Beyer Speed Figure of 86 (VIDEO).

The chestnut is a daughter of Mineshaft and is the first foal out of the More Than Ready mare Landslide, who is a sister to Grade 3 winner Saint Marden, stakes winner Sweet Lips, and Zayat's 2011 Kentucky Derby (G1) runner-up Nehro.

The winner, trained by Rudy Rodriguez, picked up $36,000 in victory.
