Divine Shift breaks his maiden by 8 lengths at Oaklawn Park - Coady Photography
Divine Shift was in a class by himself in his eight-length maiden special weight win on Friday at Oaklawn Park, covering the six furlongs in an excellent 1:09.07 (VIDEO).

Ridden patiently by Rafael Santana, Jr. for trainer Steve Asmussen, the 4-year-old Zayat Stables colt was never more than a length off the early pace, then exploded in the stretch to run away from the field.

The winner was bred in Kentucky by Charles Fipke and picked up $48,000 for the win. Divine Shift's dam Bees was stakes placed and is also responsible for the Grade 3-placed Bee Jersey.
