First foal is a colt for American Pharoah
The Seitz family's Brookdale Farm in Versailles, KY, happily announces the arrival of what is believed to be the first foal of the initial crop of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah. Born at 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 3, the colt is the first foal out of the maiden mare Kakadu. He is very attractive and has plenty of size for a maiden foal.

Kakadu is a 4-year-old by Tizway and a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Protonico, from the immediate family of Chilean Horse of the Year and American Grade 1 winner Wild Spirit.

Kakadu is owned by Chilean resident Oussama Aboughazale of International Equities Holding Co.
