Jaycito, winner of the Grade 1 Norfolk S. in Oct., 2010, has begun regular works under the care of Bob Baffert as the Zayat Stables LLC colorbearer prepares for the 2012 racing season.

The 3-year-old colt has recorded three works at Hollywood Park this month, with the latest coming on Nov. 20, when he went four furlongs in :48.60. His earlier moves came on Nov. 13, three furlongs in :36.60, and the same distance, in :36.80, on Nov. 6.

Jaycito has won $261,300 in six starts, with runner-up finishes in the 2010 Del Mar Futurity (G1) and the San Felipe (G2) this April to his credit. Zayat purchased the bay as a yearling in the 2009 Keeneland September sale, going to $110,000 from consignor Runnymede Farm, who bred him in Kentucky along with Catesby Clay.
