Hammerin Aamer rolls by 7 1/4-length in Laurel allowance
Hammerin Aamer, who has never finished worse than third this year, turned in his most impressive start of 2017 on Nov. 13 at Laurel with a dominating front-running score in a 1 1/16-mile allowance contest on the main track.

Breaking from the rail, Hammerin Aamer took the lead immediately, opening up by five lengths on the backstretch, then after getting a little breather on the far turn, reasserted himself to come home the easiest of winners in 1:44.40 to earn an excellent Beyer Speed Figure of 90.

After the $19,950 payday, Hammerin Aamer upped his lifetime earnings to $128,635 and sports a record of 3-2-2 in 10 starts. The 3-year-old colt is a son of Jump Start out of Signaling and was bred by Sycamore Hall Thoroughbreds.
