Jazzy Times gives Zayat a Sunday double at Del Mar
Zayat Stables' Jazzy Times overwhelmed his competition in a 6 1/2-furlong allowance race at Del Mar on Sunday, just an hour after first-time starter American Cleopatra, a 2-year-old full sister to American Pharoah, won her debut over the same track.

Jazzy Times, a 3-year-old colt trained by Bob Baffert, shook off his foes after passing the three-furlong pole, and pulled away in the stretch. The final time was 1:14.42, less than a second off the track record.

In just four starts, Jazzy Times has a record of 2-1-1 and has earned $93,000. The 3-year-old son of Discreetly Mile-Jazzy Melissa comes from the same family as graded stakes winners Caller One, Prospect Bay, and multiple stakes winner Unbridled Sidney.
