Zayat Stables' homebred 3-year-old filly Lezendary was brilliant in the $100,000 Cicada S. on March 25 at Aqueduct, rolling to a four-length victory in what was her first start against stakes company.

Lezendary has now won her two starts this year by 10 lengths combined and looks like a filly with a very bright future after Sunday's impressive score.

Trained by Rudy Rodriguez, the daughter of Zensational was pressed through the first half-mile, which went in :47.39, then drew off in the stretch to pull several lengths clear and win going away in 1:11.16 on the fast main track.

Lezendary, who broke her maiden by over five lengths in mid-January, is now 2-1-1 in five starts and has earned $118,100. She is out of Legendary Stacey, who is the dam of three winners, including the stakes-placed Margaret Reay.
