Zayat Stables' homebred 2-year-old filly My Sweet Stella led at every point of call in her Oct. 20 maiden special weight victory at Keeneland, coming home a 2 3/4-length winner in the 1 1/16-mile turf contest.

After just missing by a half-length on the Churchill Downs lawn a month ago, My Sweet Stella controlled things from the outset at Keeneland, and had plenty left for the stretch run, covering the distance on the “good” turf in 1:47 flat (VIDEO).

The winner is by Wood Memorial (G1) winner Eskendereya, who Zayat campaigned, and is out of Megalicious, who is a half-sister to four-time stakes winner Abbondanza. Megalicious foaled a Paynter filly this year for Zayat.

Trained by D. Wayne Lukas, My Sweet Stella picked up $36,000 for Thursday's win.
