Nileator leads all the way to take Gulfstream Park turf allowance
Nileator sprang out of the gate and made the lead in the first 100 yards en route to his one-length victory Feb. 18 over the Gulfstream Park turf course.

The 6-year-old veteran has been consistent throughout his career for Zayat Stables, with the homebred finishing in the top three in 13 of 26 starts and earning $183,877.

Sunday's win in the one mile event came by 1 1/4-lengths over Secretary of War, who chased the winner the entire trip, fading in the final furlong when Nileator asserted himself to secure the win.

Nileator, a son of Pioneerof the Nile out of Souma, is trained by Dale Romans. Nileator's full brother, 5-year-old Jess I Am, also won a main track allowance for Zayat over the weekend, scoring by a neck at Fair Grounds in a determined effort.
