One-turn mile suits Ezmosh in maiden special weight victory
Zayat Stables' 2-year-old colt Ezmosh battled his way to two-length maiden special weight score Sept. 16 at Churchill Downs in just his third lifetime start (VIDEO).

Ezmosh, who had placed in his previous two starts at shorter distances, drew the rail for the one-turn mile at Churchill Downs. In a three-way battle for the lead through the first quarter-mile, he began to pull clear shortly thereafter. Coming into the stretch, Tiz Mischief made a run at the leader, but Ezmosh and Florent Geroux turned away the challenge to finish a clear winner in 1:35.82 on a fast main track.

Trained by Brad Cox, Ezmosh is now 1-1-1 in three starts and has earned $52,080.
