Two-year-olds by Pioneerof the Nile and Zensational were big draws for bidders during the first day of the March 12-13 OBS Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale in central Florida. Both stallions were campaigned by Zayat and their first crops are 2-year-olds of 2013

A filly by Pioneerof the Nile, hip No. 148, had breezed a co-fastest time of 9.4 seconds for an eighth mile during the under tack show last week. Consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, Inc. (Becky Thomas), Agent, the filly was bought by Stonestreet Stables LLC for $350,000, the top price of the session for a distaffer. Bred in Kentucky by Super Fine Farm, the filly is out of Wild Catseye, a stakes winner at two who has produced four winners to date.

Pioneerof the Nile, a Grade 1 winner at two and three, stands this year at WinStar Farm LLC for $15,000 LFS&N.

Hip No. 125, a colt by Zensational, was consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm, agent, and sold for $220,000 to Narvick International. The colt is the first foal out of Turtle Creek Babe, who is a half-sister to Grade 3-placed Cyclorama. The family also includes multiple Grade 1 winner Sassy Image.

Zensational stands at Hill 'n' Dale Farms in Lexington for $15,000 LFS&N.
