Zayat Stables LLC's Fast Bullet ran to
his name Nov. 12 at Hollywood Park as the 3-year-old son of
Speightstown blitzed the six furlongs 1:09.23 to win by 3 3/4-lengths
and earn a Beyer Speed Figure of 101 in just his second lifetime
start. The speedy chestnut could be headed to a graded stakes for his
next start.
Trained by Bob Baffert, Fast Bullet
broke his maiden at Santa Anita Park in his debut on Oct. 9, when he
registered another excellent Beyer of 92 while winning easily by 6
1/4-lengths. He also was named a TDN “Rising Star” for the debut
effort.
Zayat purchased Fast Bullet at the 2009
Keeneland September yearling sale for $230,000 from the consignment
by Gainesway, agent. The colt was bred in Kentucky by Roy Gottlieb.
